Legos
Just sitting here tonight messing with some Legos – The Ghostbusters Firehouse still. Contemplating my AZ-305 studying, letting it sink into my brain.
Does anyone else second guess themselves? I picked up one of my 400 notecards and realized I don’t know enough about whatever it was on that notecard, then wondered if I’d learned enough in my studying to master the questions that inevitably might come up about it. It wasn’t even a deep topic – Azure Service Bus. I’d configured our own enterprise level Service Bus, answered many many questions over the years, wrote Terraform code to deploy new subscriptions and topics, and even set up pretty specific dead letter alerts for teams that needed those insights. But still, here I was with this card and I had written 3 words on it: Queues, Subscriptions, Topics. But I hadn’t filled in the card yet. Somehow I’d had skipped it, put it on my list to come back to. I kind of froze. What questions would be on the exam? How deep did I need to understand each of those words? As I filled out the card (without looking up literally ANY documentation, I realized that the information was still stored in my chaotic brain. Talking through it, I became more confident in my thoughts and easily filled out that notecard. Placed it on the pile of notecards, but not before seeing the next one on the top.
